Welcome To Christmas Tree Farm!
Christmas Tree Farm is situated in The Village of Downe, 16 miles from St
Pauls in London.

Downe village is in the London borough of Bromley. The village has two pubs,
The George & Dragon and The Queens Head ( both serving food and real
ales), an Indian Restaurant together with a tea and cake shop simply called
Cake.

Many visitors flock to the village to enjoy the many country walks and to see
Christmas Tree Farm, as well as Downe House the home of Charles Darwin. It
was here in Downe that Darwin researched and penned, arguably, the most
influential book of our time On the Origin of Species. Many of his experiments
were done at Downe House and the surrounding area; notably around Downe
bank very close to the farm. 2009 sees Darwin celebrating his 200th birthday
and also 150th anniversary of his book on The Origin of Species. Downe
House and the surrounding area has been nominated for World heritage Status,
UNESCO are due to vote in 2010.
